Go! Big Apple Beautifies!

There is a group who has been cleaning a part of west village once a month for years. You might think cleaning aftermath of Saturday night party on the street just a couple of hours per month does not do any thing. But it might not be true.

People in the area started to talk to us more often. More non Japanese members in the neighbor started to join the group.

There is a mess in front of you. You clean it. It regains the order and its beauty. That simple truth centers my mind. It simply feels good. Some say that the space you put your heart and mind to clean is the one where the God comes to stay.(therefore good things starts to happen … and etc.)
Looking at and feeling the space after the work I wonder it might be true…

Ah, “zen of cleaning the dirty New York street mess” is fun and addictive.

Chef Koji Hagihara at Hakata tonton restaurant makes yummy lunch for us too! Why don’t u join us! Big Apple Beautifies (Terry Sato)
